Labour Minister and Chonburi Governor visit the COVID-19 vaccination center on its first day of operation

Today, the government begun its official #COVID19 vaccination program, a cooperation between the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Labor by Social Security Office, Federation of Thai Industries, and Industrial Estate Authority Of Thailand and AMATA, for Amata City Chonburi industrial estate’s factories and their workforce at Amata Castle, serving as temporary venue.

Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Labour, Mr. Phakthorn Thianchai, Governor of Chonburi Province, Mr. Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of Industrial Estate Authority Of Thailand paid a visit to the COVID-19 vaccination center and were seen welcomed by Amata Corporation’s Director and Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Viboon Kromadit and Amata City Chonburi IEAT branch director Mrs. Buppha Kawinvasin.

Factory employees insured by the social security office are eligible to receive vaccination as specified under section 33, to control the spread of the pandemic to the wider public. Several thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccine were secured for Amata City Chonburi vaccination center; healthcare personnel will administer vaccine to around 1,200 – 1,500 factory employees daily as long as supplies last. The vaccination drive is organized by the Social Security Office, Chonburi branch.
