ACNN 2023 Forum and AMATA's Waste Management Awards

The AMATA City Chonburi Office, the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and Amata Facility Services collaborated to host an impressive seminar and mini exhibition at the AMATA Carbon Neutral Network Forum 2023 (ACNN 2023). This crucial initiative is dedicated to supporting businesses in their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide emissions.

The event included an award ceremony where the prestigious AMATA Best Waste Management Awards for the year 2023 were presented. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the ceremony was graced by Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary General of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Dr. Viwat Kromadit, Chief Technical Officer and Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Estate Business Thailand at AMATA Corporation Public Company, Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, Chief Executive Officer of AMATA U Company, Ms. Witchuda Seemakachorn, the Director of the AMATA City Chonburi Industrial Estates Authority of Thailand (IEAT) office, Mr. Sermpong Sukko, the Director of the AMATA City Rayong Industrial Estates Authority of Thailand (IEAT) office, and Mr. Aukkares Choochouy, Managing Director of AMATA Facilities Services Company.

The awards were presented to entrepreneurs from a total of 94 factories that met the selection standards for outstanding industrial waste management, with recognition categorized into three levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Silver level represents compliance with legal requirements, as per the Ministry of Industry's announcement. Gold Level signifies adherence to both the silver level requirements and the systematic management of industrial waste storage spaces. Factories at this level meet enhanced standards, including ISO 14001 and Green Industry Level 3. Moving to the Platinum level requires fulfillment of all Gold level criteria, with a commitment to reducing waste disposal through landfills or achieving Zero Waste to Landfill. 

The forum, exhibition and awards ceremony took place at the Nikko Hotel, AMATA City Chonburi.
