Freshwater Prawns Released in Dok Krai Reservoir

Posted on | Business News

Rayong’s Provincial Fisheries Office and Dok Krai Reservoir Fisheries Resource Management Group organized the release of 100,000 freshwater prawns into Dok Krai Reservoir in Rayong province. Amata City Rayong joined and supported the activity, providing hand sanitizer spray cards, face masks and drinking water to officials.

The activity was aimed at replenishing stocks of aquatic creatures at natural resources and promoting a balanced ecosystem and sustainable water conservation.

Conservation of natural watersheds is a component of Amata’s sustainability and biodiversity agenda. Amata frequently cooperates with local communities to organize activities for expanding green spaces and preserving natural resources surrounding Amata’s industrial estates, including important watersheds. Amata also encourages its stakeholders to participate and take ownership in these activities, although this has not always been possible due to latest COVID-19 outbreak.
